In collaboration with: Pradita DirgantaraInteract Club,Paste Laboratory, Lintas Winongo Waste Bank and McKinsey and Co
PLUME Initiative, which stands for Pradita's Lifelong Commitment to Unifying, Managing, and Educating on Plastic Use is Hemisphere's very first efforts in plastic sorting and learning related to plastic processing
Before taking larger steps, we want to first spread goodness within our high school, Pradita Dirgantara. Observing the significant production and usage of plastic, Hemisphere has a program to teach a minimal plastic lifestyle through the use of reusable items and a plastic sorting program for two weeks. This program aims to gradually raise awareness among students and the school community about the importance of reducing the use of disposable items (especially plastic) and the significance of sorting plastic from other waste to be processed into valuable products. The Plume Project is divided into two stages.
1️⃣
PLUME 1.0: Sorting plastic waste and establishing our own waste monitoring application called Hawk Eye.
2️⃣
Plume 2.0: Encouraging a plastic-free lifestyle through the sale of merchandise, the proceeds of which will be entirely used for donations to marine ecosystem preservation and research.
We acknowledge that real action capable of making an impact requires support from various parties. In this regard, we have successfully collaborated with Interact, Paste Laboratory, and Lintas Winongo Waste Bank.

Paste Laboratory
Paste Laboratory is a recycling company situated at Yogyakarta and founded in June 2021. Currently, plastic waste can be transformed into high-value artistic and economic products. They innovate by using plastic bottle caps to create unique and useful products such as glass coasters, phone cases, wall clocks, glasses, and rocking chairs.
Our collaboration goal is to be a tangible implementation of a zero-waste approach while learning about plastic processing into finished products through direct visits to the Paste Lab office. Previously, Sociolla also collaborated with Sukin and Paste Lab for a program exchanging used skincare waste at Sociolla for SOCO points.
The well-established brand name of Paste Lab will help us reach a larger audience through approved collaborative Instagram posts by both parties. Our hope is that this initial step becomes the foundation for more significant steps in the future.

Pradita Dirgantara Interact Club
Pradita Dirgantara Interact Club is one out of the many 10,700 Interact clubs across hundreds of different countries. Pradita Dirgantara Interact Club believe to have a shared responsibility to contribute in taking action on our world’s most persistent issues, such as education, the environment, sanitation, as well as helping the community.
Collaboration with Hemisphere in the PLUME Project 1.0 aligns with Interact's goals and is within the school's scope. Acting as one of SMA Pradita Dirgantara's organizations, Interact Club collaborates with Hemisphere on executing the PLUME project.

Lintas Winongo Waste Bank
Lintas Winongo Waste Bank is one of the largest and most active waste banks in the Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta region, located not far from Paste Laboratory (approximately 30 minutes away).
Our collaboration goal with Lintas Winongo is to donate non-HDPE plastic waste to serve as a resource for their processing business while learning directly from the community. This, of course, aligns with our goal to achieve SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption).
